Katrin and Nicole were born 90 days apart in February and in May. They are one another’s oldest friends. They live in South Africa’s capital cities; Katrin in Cape Town and Nicole in Pretoria. Their respective dialing codes are 021 and 012 though they don’t call each other nearly enough.
And so…
a Sunday conversation in pictures began: Sontagbilder (did you know that despite being African, their common mother tongue is German?). 'Sontag' (Sunday) announces the day they gather their 'bilder' images from the week past and Monday the conversation between north and south is posted.
